DU LLB Entrance 2018 Notification – Important Dates, Eligibility, Syllabus and Application Process

DU LLB entrance online registration to start in June 2018. Before, starting the registration Delhi University Law Faculty will publish an official press release. 

Delhi University Faculty of Law is one of the top Law schools in India. That offer up to 2310 seats. Nevertheless, it is highly competitive as it attracts candidates from across India.

DU LLB Entrance 2018 Important Dates

DU LLB Entrance online registration start date: May 2018

Last date: Last week of June 2018

Result dates: First week of July 2018

Group Discussion and Personal Interviews (if any): Second or third week of July 2018

First Admission List Announcement: August 2018

Admission Fee Deposit Date: August 2018

Commencement of Classes: August 2018

DU LLB Entrance exam date: Last week of July

 

DU LLB Entrance Eligibility Criteria 2018

You have to meet eligibility criteria to register online and apply for DU LLB programme 2018:

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree from recognized University in India or any Foreign University.
  • Minimum 50 percent marks required for General category, 45 percent for OBCs, and 40 percent for SC and ST categories.
  • 5 percent relaxation will be afforded to General category candidates who are widow wards of ex-service personnel (CW) category
  • 5 percent relaxation will be provided to General category candidates who are physically handicapped (PH).

NOTE: all admissions to be allowed on entrance exam basis, not on merit basis.

 

DU LLB Total Seats and Distribution

Following are the details of DU LLB seat arrangement and distribution:

Total Seats: 2310

General category: 1167

OBC category: 623

SC category: 347

ST category: 173

However, on 17th May 2017 a news has come out: Bar Council of India imposes penalty on Faculty of Law, Delhi University for admitting 2310 last year. Most likely the total seats to be reduced from total 2310 seats to 1440 seats.

This news is shocking for all aspiring candidates. However, officials are yet to confirm the veracity of this news.

 

DU LLB Entrance Syllabus 2018

Total questions: 175

DU LLB Pattern: Multiple choice questions/objective type questions

Sections: 2

Total duration: 2 hours

Total marks: 700

Mode: offline

Medium: English language only

Each question: 4 marks

Negative marking: -1 mark for each question

DU LLB entrance test syllabus:

Section 1: English Comprehension, Current Affairs, Mathematics, Reasoning and Analytical Ability, and General Knowledge

Section 2: Legal/Law Awareness and Aptitude

  2. Register on the website (Registration start from 31st May 2018)
  3. Login to fill the application form
  4. Upload your photo (passport size, max 50kb of 100px X 130px size), signature (max 50kb of 140px X 60px), ID proof (self-attested), 10th certificate (self-attested, max 100kb), and/or caste certificate (self-attested, max 100kb)
  5. Pay registration fee online
  6. Download your Admit Card

Candidates willing to apply more than one course are informed to apply for each course separately.
