About SAU
South Asian University is an International university based in New Delhi.
It was established by eight SAARC member states that are – India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Butan, Nepal and Maldives.
It was established in 2010 with the goal of promoting regional cooperation and integration among South Asian countries via higher education and research.
Apart from International Relations, SAU offers postgraduate and doctoral degrees in Biotechnology, Economics, Law, Computer Science, and Sociology.
The university attracts diverse students from eight South Asian countries.
Above all, SAU’s degrees are recognized by all eight SAARC countries.
About MA IR Course
SAU’s Masters of Arts in International Relations program is its most popular program among all postgraduate courses.
There are only 30 seats, and 50% of the seats are reserved for Indian students.
If you are planning to make a career in International Relations, diplomacy or related fields then this course is one of the best options available.
However, in order to get admission into SAU’s MA International Relations you will need to appear for the entrance test.

Registration start date: 1st March 2023
Last date to register: 31st March 2023
Entrance test dates: 29th and 30th April 2023
SAU MA IR test date: Saturday 29th April 2023
MA IR Exam timings: 12:30 – 2:30 pm (afternoon session)
Results: May 2023
Commencement of the classes: June 2023
SAU MA International Relations Eligibility Criteria
Following are the eligibility criteria that candidate must meet in order to apply for SAU’s MA IR course:
| Applicants must have completed a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized university with a minimum of 50% marks |
| Applicant must have completed 15 years of education under the 10+2+3 pattern or 4 year degree after 10+2 |
| Applicants who obtained degree in less than 15 years are not eligible for admission |
| Final year students eligible to apply provided they provide their mark sheets on or before 26th July 2023 or by 14th August 2023 with late fee charges |

SAU Application Process 2023

| 2. Click on ‘Register Now’ button |
| 3. Fill the registration form to generate username and password |
| 4. Go to admission portal again and use your username and password to login |
| 5. Fill the application form with accurate details |
| 6. Upload photos and relevant documents in prescribed format |
| 7. Application will be available for final review and submission |
| 8. After submitting application pay the application fee |
| 9. Application fee for Indian nationals is Rs. 800/- |
