Delhi University MA English Admission 2016 Update

MA English Admission 2016 now open.

Delhi University’s MA English programme is one of the oldest post-graduation course not only at Delhi University but also in country. Any student planning to take up research or further studies in English literature then MA English has to be a milestone, but pursuing at DU is an achievement in itself.

MA English programme at Delhi University are now open for admission in 2016. Important dates are given below:

Start Date for DU MA English Admission 2016: 28^th April, 2016

Last Date to Apply: 24^th May, 2016

DU MA English Entrance Exam 2016: 19-23^rd June, 2016

Results on or before: 4^th July, 2016

Last Date to fee submission (for shortlisted candidates): on or before 18^th July, 2016

Course commencement: 20^th July, 2016

There are two ways for students to be eligible for the MA English Admission 2016 at DU are given following:

Direct Mode: 50 percent of all seats are reserved for direct mode admissions to MA English at DU. Students securing 60 percent or more in B.A. English Honors from any Delhi University college are eligible for direct mode. However, Delhi University clearly state that securing 60 percent or more does not guarantee admissions therefore it is highly recommended for all students to apply through entrance exam mode.

Entrance Mode: rest 50 percent of all seats are available under DU MA English Entrance Exam 2016. Students securing 45 percent or more in B.A. English Honors from any Delhi University college, and students securing 50 percent or more in Bachelor’s Degree from any recognized Indian university are eligible to sit for DU MA English Entrance Exam 2016.

Art Faculty’s English Department offer and conducts the MA English course at Delhi University, which has come out with total 425 seats in 2016. A brief overview of the seats distribution is given below:

Note: Fee for registration online for Post Graduate courses 2016-17 is: Rs. 500/- for each course (General, OBC and unreserved), and Rs. 250/- for each course (SC/ST/PwD)
