The National Testing Agency (NTA) has been entrusted by the University Grants Commission (UGC) to conduct the UGC NET (National Eligibility Test), a crucial examination for determining the eligibility of Indian nationals for the positions of ‘Assistant Professor’ and ‘Junior Research Fellowship and Assistant Professor’ in Indian universities and colleges. The UGC NET December 2023 session is set to be conducted in Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode and will cover 83 different subjects.
UGC NET December 2023 Important Dates:
- Submission of Online Application Form: September 30, 2023, to October 28, 2023 (up to 05:00 P.M.)
- Last date for submission of Examination fee (through Credit Card/Debit Card/Net Banking/UPI): October 29, 2023 (up to 11:50 P.M.)
- Correction in the Particulars in Online Application Form: October 30-31, 2023 (up to 11:50 P.M.)
- Announcement of City of Exam Centre: Last week of November 2023
- Downloading of Admit Card from NTA Website: First week of December 2023
- Dates of Examination: December 6, 2023, to December 22, 2023
- Display of Recorded Responses and Answer Key(s): To be announced later on the website
Application Fee:
- General/Unreserved: Rs. 1150/-
- General-EWS/OBC-NCL: Rs. 600/-
- SC/ST/PwD: Rs. 325/-
- Third Gender: Rs. 325/-
Important Instructions:
- Online Application: Candidates must apply for UGC NET December 2023 online only on the official website https://ugcnet.nta.ac.in. Applications through any other mode will not be accepted.
- Single Application: Each candidate is allowed to submit only one application. Multiple applications by the same candidate will result in strict actions.
- Information Bulletin: Candidates should thoroughly read the Information Bulletin available on the NTA website and strictly follow the instructions provided.
