For starters, CUET PG (Common University Entrance Test for Post Graduation) is a common entrance test for PG programmes in India’s top universities such as DU, JNU, UoH, EFLU and others.
If you are planning to join India’s top universities for PG courses such as MA English, MA Political Science etc. then you cannot miss this exam.
There are test paper codes given for respective PG courses for which you will need to appear to get admission in that PG course.
For example, if you want to join MA English, you will need to appear for LAQP01 (MA English Entrance), for MA Political Science, you will need to appear for HUQP18 (MA Political Science Entrance), and for DU LLB and other courses you will need to appear for COQP11 (General).
Last year, more than 190 universities, colleges and institutes participated in CUET PG 2024 exam.
However, for 2025, as of today, there are limited universities listed on the NTA CUET PG official website.
But it is expected like last year, all these universities will participate and more will join.
It is important to note that there are other top ranking universities that are still not fully participating or not joined at all such as Jamia Islamia University (partially participating), Jadavpur University, Calcutta University, Pune University etc.
For these universities you will have to individually apply.
Now, let’s check out all important details given the official CUET PG notification.
